Bursig for 2016 Ducati Scrambler
Posted by John Rochester on 29th Oct 2017
Unboxing.
My lift arrived well packed and protected. It took my several minutes to get past the cardboard and shrink wrapping. Not a scratch to be found anywhere
Lever assembly.
I was able to assemble the lever by hand using a cresant wrench and a small ratchet to tighten everything. There was a clip holding a pin in place that you can use your hand to remove and replace. Fairly simple.
The castors and wheels slide into the base of the lift easily and are locked in place with pins the are screwd in using an
Allen key. Overall construction seems very solid.
The video for installation of the sleeve for my bike (Ducati Scrambler) was fairly simple to follow.
However, once i began to tighten the insert sleeve to the engine bolt I was unable to tighten to specs
without the help on a set of vice grips, preventing the sleeve from turning while I tightened the bolt.
This resulted in some minor damage to the finish and metal on the sleeve. A hexagonal collor on the sleeve
Would have prevented this.
Adjusting the adapter plate.
For me this was the most difficult part of getting set up.
Once I loosened the center nut on the plate
(something the instructions said I didn’t need to do),
I was able to properly alingn the the lifting points.
Lifting the bike.
Once everything is aligned and tightened up, the lift take a little practice to wiggle onto the bikes lifting points.
Lifting the bike itself is a breeze, and with two options for elevation, you should easily be able to slide, lift or swivel your bike into whichever position you need to.
Cost.
Nit picks aside, this lift is pricey but I believe you will get everything you want from this lift.

Worth it.

I have a two car garage with two trucks parked in it I also ride my Gsxr-1000 for work. This product lets me ride my bike to work without having to move my cars back and forth. I originally used my rear stand to pickup the rear bike and dragg it to where I wanted it but ended up hurting my back. This product makes my life easier. I had a hard time swallowing the $500 for a stand but I'm glad I made the decision, would buy it again if I were to do it all over again. Shipping and installation was super fast. It took more time unpacking it from the box than installation because these guys do a phenomenal job packing your stand. Thanks Bursig.

Glad I made the investment

Was a bit apprehensive to purchase this as it was a bit expensive, looked at the other competition products out there and read quite a few reviews. Bursig ended up sending me a discount code which sort of sealed the decision (awesome customer communications) and I'm glad I did. I have a 1199 Panigale S and had to do the fairing modification which I did with a drum sander on my dremel while still on the bike (very easy) and used a red sharipie to touch up and it turned out just fine. After a few adjustments, this stand is awesome, having the ability to swivel the bike in any direction and back it into a tight spot in my garage really frees up the space. As well as the added benefit to clean the bike and rims while suspended makes things a bit easier. If you can afford this, don't hesitate! You'll love it.

Bursig stand for 11-15 ZX-10R
Posted by Steve M. on 15th Jul 2017
This stand is great! My garage floor has some nasty cracks, but with a little manhandling, I can move the bike all around. Unlike my paddock stands, with the Bursig, I can do any suspension work that I need to. The only problem I had was moving the swingarm pin into position as I tried to mount the stand to the bike for the first time. I finally got smart and put the front wheel into a chock. Then I had my hands free to move the pin and fit it to the bike. I highly recommend this stand.

Stand is fantastic. Makes getting the bike out of the garage easy. Fairly easy to put together but some clearer instructions would be nice. Overall definitely worth the money.
